Electrical Engineering Department

Welcome to the Electrical Engineering Department

Established in 1976, the Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the first Departments of the TEI of W. Macedonia.

Courses last eight semesters. During the sixth semester, students have to choose one of the following areas:

a) Electrical Power

b) Electronics-Automation-Communications

Electrical Engineering curricula are aimed at contemporary technological advances and at meeting the domestic and European labour market needs geared for highly specialized professionals.  

The Department caters for high quality studies, which enable students to acquire a variety of skills and qualifications in Electrical Engineering in order to become well-equipped graduates with the necessary background knowledge and expertise.

The Department also runs a Postgraduate course in Mechatronics (MSc in Mechatronics) and a Postgraduate course (MSc in Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Management in Buildings) jointly organized by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Design and Electrical Engineering TEI of W. Macedonia, Kozani.
